VFS Global announced on Wednesday the launch of new Visa Application Centres in Nairobi and Mombasa, effective October 22, 2024.

The initiative allows Kenyans travelling to the UK to easily book appointments for submitting their visa applications at these cutting-edge facilities.

Starting October 22, applicants for UK visas will be routed to VFS Global for appointment bookings, where they can also select from a suite of additional services designed to streamline the visa application process.

Mr. Alok Singhal, Head of Sub-Saharan Africa at VFS Global, expressed enthusiasm regarding the new Centres, stating that they are excited to embark on this new journey with UK Visas and Immigration in Kenya.

Our long-standing partnership since 2003 has laid a strong foundation, and we are committed to providing travelers from Kenya with best-in-class services.

The new Visa Application Centres will offer a variety of optional services to enhance the comfort and convenience of applicants.

These services include:

  • Document upload assistance
  • Prime Time application submission outside regular business hours- SMS notifications regarding application status- Document checking service
  • Courier return of passports after decision completion for those in Nairobi, VFS Global also introduces the On Demand Mobile Visa service, which allows applicants to submit their visa applications from the comfort of their homes or offices, ensuring safety and convenience. Furthermore, VFS Global’s Keep My Passport While Applying service enables customers to retain their passports post-submission and biometrics enrollment, requiring them to submit passports again only upon final decision.

How to Book Your Appointment

Applicants can book their visa services in advance through VFS Global’s official website or reserve services at the Visa Application Centres during their appointment.

Importantly, while these services are convenient, they are entirely optional and do not affect the processing timelines or outcomes of visa applications.

With this new contract, VFS Global expands its service footprint from 58 to142 countries, further underscoring its role as a trusted partner of UK Visas and Immigration.

In Africa alone, VFS Global will operate Visa Application Centres for the UK in 31 countries.
